Greetings!
Welcome to Cheyenne, Remy and Spencer's Summer Blog! All three of us and all our stuff are touring the Western half of the US from May to September 2010. This is where we'll document our experiences, our troubles, our amazing moments, and everything in between.
For those of you who don't know, here's a little bit about each of our travelers, and a brief outline of our likely route this summer:

Cheyenne
Cheyenne is a senior at the University of Minnesota, majoring in Biology, Society, and the Environment. Cheyenne prefers feminine pronouns like "she" and "her," and her favorite color is green. She is a sporty, feminine queer who's learning to identify as bisexual again. Some of Cheyenne's favorite things include: Remy, chocolate, babies, the outdoors, water, puppies, adventure, and rock climbing.
This summer Cheyenne hopes to learn more about herself and hopefully find some direction on what to do with her life after graduating college in December. She views this trip as a spiritual journey and hopes it will lead her on a good path. She also wants to train her new puppy to be the best dog ever, and she can't wait to hula hoop and longboard on the beaches of California. She plans to spend much more time with nature, and wants to learn and practice living a greener lifestyle.
If you want to know more about Cheyenne, post a comment or email her at cmjohnson16@gmail.com.

Remy
Remy is finally a senior at the University of Minnesota, with majors in Gender, Women, and Sexuality Studies and Studies in Cinema and Media Culture. Remy switches between gender neutral pronouns like "they" and "their" and masculine pronouns like "he" and "his," and their favorite color is purple. He is a flaming trans-masculine genderqueer with femme-leaning sensibilities and a rad sense of style. Some of Remy's favorite things include: Cheyenne, tattoos, eating, writing, driving, hiking, and reading queer and film theories.
This adventure is going to take Remy to a lot of new and unexplored places, and they can't believe that the Twin Cities and Minnesota won't be home again until September 7th. The personal connections and spiritual transformation that await are worth leaving behind Dexter (the best cat ever), and he looks forward to getting even closer with the best puppy ever. Remy is really excited to bike cities like Vancouver, Seattle, Portland, and Santa Cruz, and especially hopes the road leads them to Mexico for some brushing up on Spanish. He also wants to blog independently in order to work out senior thesis ideas for the fall, and will share that link as soon as it's up and running.
If you want to know more about Remy, post a comment or email them at herecomesthe@gmail.com.

Spencer
Spencer is a 4 month old Maltese Poodle (Maltipoo) who doesn't shed and isn't at all hyper. Spencer can't tell us much about gendered inclinations, but he does really like the color pink. He is a clever little guy whose training is going quite quickly. Spencer is very well-behaved and affectionate and also an extremely calm passenger. He is almost fully house and kennel trained, but doesn't like it all when Cheyenne and Remy leave him alone! Ever. He just wants to be with them all the time.
Luckily, Spencer will almost never be without his family this summer (and after). On the road he hopes to meet lots of people and dogs as he loves playing with both. He will also be going for many swims, hikes, bike rides, and any other adventures on which he is allowed.
